I was a former student from the year 1971 to 77, I think. I do missed it. I remember it being the tallest primary school with lifts in Singapore. On the occasion we were allowed to use the lift is when we were a class or with a teacher. Many of us did secretly tried to use the lifts without getting caught! Although I had good memories of the school, I had some bad ones too. The most dreaded announcements from the school dental nurses. I hated it! The number of times I was called for treatment esp. fillings is horribly unnessary I'm very sure! But I must complement the quality they provide for my teeth as I still have the fillings from way back then, unlike these days!

It's a shame to see it close! I remember walking by with my little daughter when my parents were still living at Outram Park and pointing out to her my former school. I'm visiting S'pore this August and I think I must visit the site again and reintroduce it to my teenage daughter. My favourite teachers were Mrs Lim, Mr Yeo Tiong Gum. I'm still in contact with some of my friends from Pearl's Hill School days and we enjoyed talking about 'those were the days'

I studied Pearl's Hill from 1971 - 1976. We recently have a gather of 3 girls (Ng Lai See, Koh Lee Tian and myself) and we are now hoping to find friends who studied with us during those years to keep in touch with us. Please visit my Facebook Adeline Yip and get in touch with me. In Facebook, we found Lai Mun Kwong and Ong Chee Beng and still hoping to find people like Giam Wai Meng, Chin Yee Choong, Seock Hwee, Suat Hwee, Lee Mee Geok, Tay Bee Hong, Lim Poh Tin, Yong Tuck Meng, etc.

Can another remember our Principal, Mr Ng? Wonder how is he now?

I am a ex- student of this primary school (1977 to 1982). I too have many memories of this primary school. I remembered taking a lift to my classroom and remember the beautiful trees outside the school and the big fileld where we had our house practice and sports day. And I always enjoy my teachers taking me to Pearl Hill during PE lessons. It was really fun.

Hi
Coild you possibly inform how to gain permission to view the Changi Murals in block 151. I lived in block 151, room 5 ground floor from 1963 till 1966 whilst serving with the Royal Air Force. I have tried to ascertain this information but up to now have had no success.
I have already booked a holiday to Singapore and would like to visit Changi on 25th febuary 2010

I too have good memories of this primary school which i attended from 1966~1971. It was moved from the old site to the new site
during my last year there (1971). And it was alway been an all boy's primary school till it change to a boy / girl school when it was shifted to the new site. I can still clear remember most of my form teachers, Pri 1 Mrs Wong, Pri 2 Miss Foo Siew Yin, Pri 3 Miss
Peggy Tan, Pri 4 Mrs Chua, Pri 5 Mr ??? and Pri 6 Mr Lim Yap Seng. And among the 30 plus classmates, i can still remember some of them and they are our monitor Pang Weng Sun, Soh Ghim Chin, Hor Kok Cheong, Goh Thiam Hong and many others.Ttoo bad that
we didn't meet each other since then and hope everyone is doing fine and most importantly healthy and happy.
