The Old Tao Nan School

This was the first Singapore Chinese school in Singapore to introduce Mandarin as the medium of instruction. The Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan established the school with the help of many philanthropists such as Tan Kah Kee. Tao Nan School has now shifted to Marine Parade, and this building is now occupied by the Peranakan Museum.
