One of the oldest temples in Singapore, this Chinese temple began as a small shrine set up by Hakka and Cantonese immigrants in 1824. It later functioned as an association looking after the interests of both dialect groups. No longer serving as a temple today, Fuk Tak Chi is now Singapore’s first street museum with artefacts collected from residents of Chinatown.
