The neo-Palladian styled Empress Place building signified British administrative rule during the colonial days. Now the site of the breathtaking Asian Civilisations Museum, Empress Place was originally built as a Court House between 1864-65. It is strategically sited at the heart of the island’s trade and commerce - the Singapore River.
